J.M. Bailiff Farm

What is a Century Farm?

The Tennessee Century Farms Program was created in 1975 by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture as part of our nation’s bicentennial celebration. The focus of the program is to recognize and document the families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years.

Henry Ford's Model T

Our Journey Begins

My journey into Henry Ford's Model T began in early 2003. I made the decision to buy one of these early automobiles and placed an inquiry on the web.

I located a 1918 touring car near Tulsa, Oklahoma. It ran, drove, and appeared to be in good condition.

We met the seller in Little Rock, Arkansas, made the purchase, and headed back towards home the next day.
